eternal life?
Is this the end all be all of Christianity? Is this why most Christians are focussed on "getting back to zero" as Erwin McManus put it instead of helping people where they are?
Here's my beef with eternal life; you're no longer able to help. Did you let that sink in? You're gone. Not a part of this earth.
Give a crack at it and let me know what you think. Please, keep the length to a minimum.

Far too many Christians look to eternal life as something far off and something to strive toward, and therefore they divert their attention away from this life and into "the afterlife".
As soon as we start living with God, whether here or in heaven, we've already got "eternal life". There's no need to look off into the future; it can be lived right now. I think, if more people realized that, we'd do a better job of taking care of the things we're supposed to take care of while we're here.
